Vinny Leaves Class at the Door

Vinny sinks down a level by kicking Jason Taylor on his way out the door. He just had to explain how "disappointed" he was in Jason Taylor before he could let it go. "It's 39 workouts to make 75 percent, and 14 of 'em are mandatory with the OTAs [organized team activities] and the minicamps. So it was 25 workouts in 13 weeks. He could come on Tuesday, worked out Wednesday, work out early Thursday and fly home. He'd just have to be here Tuesday and Wednesday, really." He went on to compare himself to Bill Parcells, which probably caused Bill to jump out a window, "We felt like to get the best out of him, because he didn't work out all last year, because he was doing dancing... And that's what Bill had the problem with, because he wasn't in [Miami's] offseason program. We just wanted to get him in shape to make sure that he was in shape. "

Although that probably wasn't my favorite part of Vinny's low-blowing to Taylor. My favorite part was when he said it wouldn't be fair to Dock and Portis that they show up for offseason workouts and he doesn't. That really reminded me of the episode of Entourage where Eric is too wimpy to just tell Vince (Chase, not Cerrato) he wants to go on his weekend getaway with Sloan. He ends up telling Vince that Sloan would be "uncomfortable" if all four of them went. Sloan found out and well, we can probably guess how that ended. Fun weekend. Anyway, now Vinny (Cerrato, not Chase) is saying that part of the reason he cut Taylor is because it would be unfair to other players. Pleeeeeease.

As you can imagine, Taylor showed a little more class and just had his agent remark that he's "taking the high road."
